About This Poem

Music:

Love is but a fleeting glance
That pricks in piercing circumstance,
With arrows fired and felt by chance
And all we want to do is dance.

Love can stop the pouring rain
Love can conquer any pain,
Love will ask - Can this be sane?
And love will bring you back again.

Love can speak where words are weak
And grant the eye a precious peek,
Of the perfect state that all souls seek
In the silence of a rosy cheek.

Love is not a vow or ring
Can’t be defined by anything,
Shaped by the joy a smile can bring
And all we want to do is sing.

Love is why the heart beats fast
From the first love till the last,
Found in the present or lost in the past
The die of chance already cast.

Love is cruel and love is kind
Not something you just fake or find, It bleeds the heart and haunts the mind
With broken chords we bend to bind.

Love is not some gentle dove
It will push until you shove,
And burn beyond the stars above
And all we want to do is love.

Love can stop the pouring rain
Love can conquer any pain,
Love will ask - Can this be sane?
And love will bring you back again.
